Hey guys! First of all I want to say how sorry I am to have been away for so long!
As I've stated before some of the synopsises on Cypsis Blog are written by me, so I decided to let you know the "other versions" that didn't make the cut to be in the actual review. PS: I am not responsible for any harm done to the minds of readers who are under age. And this post involves hidden spoilers.

While there are people who just want everything to go down and dirty, Kim Hang Ah makes Lee Jae Ha's gun pop in several occasions.
*my friend used it as a word, so let it be a word! Meaning a person who hasn't even had one kiss.

A string player Shirakawa Riko meets a ball player Kamiya Naoki whose girlfriend Nanami Natsuki likes to play with her pompoms. And Kawasaki Tomiya, Naoki's ball playing coach wants to make Riko his woman. While Riko and Naoki want to achieve their pure goals, no one's satisfied with their love life.

 Marry me, Mary (2010)
Wi Mae Ri is forced into contract that states she has to live 100 days with two men: a rich have-to-listen-to-his-daddy hottie nr 1 Byun Jung In and cocky my-music-is-my-life hottie nr two Kang Moo Kyul. Also the best way to maintain one's 25-years old purity is to hang up a pink curtain to cut the shared bed into two.

I am the next drama heroine

I feel like I almost killed you all with those two tremendously long posts I wrote last time (and the time before that). Sorry for that - when I get too excited about something or overly interested in some topic, I keep on rambling about it (you DO NOT want to hear me giving a "quick overview" of something that I like - it takes hours...).
Anyway this time I decided to revive you with something easier. So I present you some of the points of how my life (I hope I'm not the only one) is not so different from drama heroine. Sure I don't have two drop dead gorgeous men falling for me, nor have I something to avenge, I don't have a job that should be done into a series and I don't have death written over me (I do have an incurable disease but that's nothing to worry about), but that doesn't mean I can't be the next heroine:

- Like Riko from Buzzer Beat I collect stamps/ stickers so that I could get free stuff or a discount.

confession time: During last month I have achieved collecting all the stickers twice.
Now I'm filling my third "book" - do I have a problem?

 - Like Oh Ha Ni from Playful Kiss  I can name all of the members of my favourite bands (+their life stories and history of scandals)

confession time: I do not know all the Super Junior members by heart
as I am not that keen in their music (but I know "sorry sorry" dance!
and lyrics: "sexy, free and single; ready to mingle" -
WAIT! Those aren't the lyrics, right?)

- Like Mary from Mary Stayed Out All Night  even when I have no furniture, as long as I have a device to watch dramas with, I'm alright

confession time: soon it's been 5 years of watching dramas.
For me it's not an choice of preferences, it's a life style.

 -  Like Hotaru from Hotaru no Hikari  when I can stay home for the whole day all alone, I don't give a damn about my looks

confession time: I do wear my hair like that when I'm at my parents place
and my jersey's are the comfiest things on earth!
but the best thing is never leaving your pajamas...

- Like Toake from Party wa Owatta I get sleepy after drinking too much and I can sleep everywhere in every position

NO confession time as I have NOT fallen asleep in the restroom!
(even though I have wanted... and now that I think about it..
maybe that's why it's called the RESTroom?)

I hope everybody had a good weekend. I bet most of us were having another round of drama marathon or went on some kind of cultural event or called up all our friends to have a blast or did all of it (like I did) and feel now even more tired than when the weekend started. This post is meant for those whose weekend involved the lover-at-evening&night-foe-in-the-morning type of friend called alcohol - we all know that sometimes (due to all different reasons) people drink a little too much and when they wake up - they have no idea what happened. If your weekend was like that, then I hope you didn't realize you had one glass too much like they did:

You find red cabbage from your house and you have no idea where it came from (Marry me Mary)

 You find yourself from the honeymoon room of your (ex-)crush and the co-worker you hate is lying next to you… naked (Marriage plot)

You wake up at the bed of your love rival. And yes, you’re both from the same gender and your "love interest" is not there. (Marry me Mary)

While you’ve enjoyed your drunken-sleep, your messy house was cleaned by Mr.Propper. (Buzzer Beat)

You wake up in unfamiliar room with unfamiliar man lying next to you. For your luck, he is hot! (Hanawake no yon shimai)

You are waken up by a younger guy in his room, you are late for work and you forgot your socks into his apartment. (Waraeru koi wa shitakunai)

 

 There is a viral video of you kissing your teacher, but there is only black hole in your head. (Hormones)

 You wake up with a bruised lip and all your band members suddenly despise you. (You´re Beautiful) 

 There is a photo-proof of you first kiss with the guy you despise. Forced by you. Oh yeah, the rumor says you almost puked before it. (Zenkai girl)

 You are feeling sick, you only want to eat sour and everybody are looking at baby pictures and buying baby stuff, because the thought that you are having just a hangover from last night is not logical enough. (Playful Kiss)

"It worked in dramas!" aka Things I want to do PART 1

As Seol Chan from Monstar said: "It worked in dramas!". It made me think about all the things that work out just fine in dramas, but in real life they wouldn't be so easy. All those heartbeating moments and illogical behavior - there is so much I want to experience in real life too! So I'll just write them down in random order:

I WANT TO:
- Lie in bed like Seol Chan and his-fantasy-Se-Yi did in Monstar episode 3. 

It would be totally uncomfortable and weird but cute as Hello Kitty with a strawberry shortcake. The biggest problem I have with this "point" is that I'm not so sure I can just lie on top of someone like Yong Junhyung and not have any perverted thoughts - way to go you stupid fangirl mind! -.-

- Timeslip into the past to confess my feelings to my childhood friend (need examples? Proposal Daisakusen, Operation Proposal).

I've always found the "childhood friends theme" cute and enthralling! Fairy, come to me and make me timeslip!!! What?! I do not have that kind of childhood friend so it's out of question? Damn you and your fairy rules -.-

- Live in the same apartment/ house with the love of my life by coincidence (basically every other Korean drama and of course "Hotaru no Hikari").

At the moment I live in a dorm but the guys next door don't really count as neither of them can be titled as "the love of my life" T.T

- Listen to music from the same earphones! (Buzzer Beat, Heartstrings)

I have no idea why I find it so adorable - maybe because it is a good reason to have his face close to mine? Also this "act" excludes only the two of us into a world separated from others - isn't it special? To be honest I was really close in achieving this point years ago - back when I was still in elementary. We were on a field trip and somehow we made girls and boys sit next to each other. I sat next to the guy who some years later became my first boyfriend. During that field trip I was listening to Enrique Iglesias (how do I remember that??) from a cassette player (yeah the times were like that -.-'). But he declined my sweet offer...

- Fall in a way that ends up with me and the love of my life accidentally kissing (basically every other drama).

I'm afraid I will break my nose before that happens (damn that European face).

- Get really drunk and be piggybacked back home (basically every other drama - but I have doubts about it after watching Marriage Plot).

 I am not going to talk about my quite colorful drunk record, but the thing that isn't in it is being piggybacked back home - mostly because at times like that I am not the only person drinking so if he -whoever takes this responsibility to bring me back home- would try to piggyback me - I think it would end with my face meeting the street...

Best non-main couples TOP 5

Last week I was reminded that in some dramas the non-main couples can overshadow the main couple with  their cuteness. Or their chemistry and nondramatic storyline gives a good change  to the often overdramatic main couple. So here are my TOP 5 favourite non-main couples from Asian dramas.

5. Proposal Daisakusen - Eri x Tsuru

Eri and Tsuru were the first non-main couple that made me constantly be happy for them as their story gave a good twist of humour to the main character's heart ache. Especially as the main story and the sidestory followed the same pattern: guy who has been in love with his friend for years, but has never had an actual chance with her. While Tsuru was the fool of the school, Eri was the queen. Yet love doesn't ask others opinion.

4. Heartstrings - Han Hee Joo x Yeo Joon Hye (aka Natasha and the chicken boy)

For chicken boy it was love at first sight - for him it was special as usually it was "love at first bite" for him. His sincerity - that sounded like stupidity - eventually payed off as his feelings reached Natasha the Ice Queen who actually was just a girl who wanted to fulfill her dreams. While other people saw only their covers, they took the time to read each other. 

3. Summer Nude - Hanae x Hikaru

Their beginning is the saddest in this list, while their ending is the happiest as they are the only ones being in a serious love-triangle (actually it is more complicated than an ordinary triangle). For years they are just friends because Hanae is in love with their other friend and is unable to see Hikaru's burning torch. Who knew that the shoulder that was there to cry on, was also the right hand to hold on to. 

2. Buzzer Beat - Mai x Shuuji

From strangers living together to engaged couple. This simple almost childish lovestory between a flutist and  a basketball player. Sounds familiar? well that's because the main story is about a violinist and a basketball player! After all Mai and Shuuji met because of the main couple. They are also the only couple in this list with reverse age difference - Mai is two years older than Shuuji - adding a little twist to their story as from the first episode on Mai keeps saying how she has to get an older man. But again love never cares about age.

1. Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge - Noi x Takenaga

Noi is the only woman who can enter the mansion of 4 good looking men whenever she wants it. That's because she is the (un)official sweetheart of Takenaga, the successor of famous house of ikebana. Noi is straightforward and easily admits her feelings fo Takenaga, he on the other hand is really shy making things rather difficult. Yet the cuter it is when he's honest to Noi. Why the first place? Just watch it and you'll know: they are just a match made in heaven.

Best Boyfriends TOP 5

In a lot of Asian dramas one of the main themes is LOVE. But the usual storyline always goes so that the adorable couple gets together in the last episode of the drama or they have an on-and-off relationship. I find it rather depressing and tiresome because I think that kind of relationship should be about happiness *insert rainbows and unicorns*. So I began to think about those couples who manage to have an actual and functional relationship - from what I see it's all thanks to the guys! I present you the TOP 5 Best Boyfriends!

5. Kang Baek Ho (Operation Proposal) played by Yoo Seung Ho

From childhood friends to lovers - of course he is the best one to know his girl! Their time together was rather short but he was quite perfect for the time being. From the start he made it clear that Yi Seul was the only one for him and that he was serious about their relationship - after all his biggest dream was to be the one standing next to her on her wedding day and not as the bestman but as the best man. It wasn't his fault his girl couldn't believe in him!

4. Kamiya Naoki (Buzzer Beat) played by Yamashita Tomohisa

To be honest he was kind of a wimp at the beginning like a little boy trapped into an adult body, but that was because he was with the wrong girlfriend - after all he is the only one in this list who had two girlfriends. Being with Riko made him man up. Why he belongs into this list? He prioritized Riko's dreams over them being together - not only did he achieve his own dreams but he also pushed Riko to not give up on her dreams. Of course from time to time they could have been more honest with each other, but their trust in each other makes up for it. Not to mention he is a hmm rather good kisser.

3. Lee Shin (Heartstrings) played by Jung Yong Hwa

 A lot of handholding and hugging - a man who knows the value of skinship! And he wasn't afraid to show it to the whole world. Even though they had a rough start they had a strong relationship afterwards. Scandals didn't sway his trust in his girl, his broken dreams didn't stop him from encouraging his girl to chase her own dreams even when it meant breaking up with her - sounds kind of harsh but isn't it the best thing someone can do for the one they love?

2. Domyouji Tsukasa (Hana yori dango) played by Matsumoto Jun

Everybody knows him as the violent jerk, yet he was ready to sacrifice all of his life just to be with the girl he loves. And who would have guessed that this pampered rich boy has Fire-God like fire lighting skills not to mention his hunting skills etc. It made my blood boil that he had to suffer because of -well everybody else! Even the love of his life couldn't love him as much as he was worth. 

1. Yoon Seol Chan (Monstar) played by Yong Jun Hyung

He is officially the most adorable supportive boyfriend ever! This jealous teenage boy turned into a real man the girl can lean on from the moment he got his girl while his remaining childish attitude added spark to the adorable relationship. Even though he is an idol, he gave his best to protect Se Yi even when it meant sacrificing his own precious pride. And even when he had to run between school and work, he made time to drop by her place just to let her know that he was thinking about her. Good thing Se Yi knew how to appreciate his efforts.

For the guys out there: being the perfect boyfriend is easy - just be supportive, protective, sweet, funny, good-looking and be ready to sacrifice your own life for her - wait? that's too much... Well just be yourself and show that you really care about her - that's why she fell for you in the first place (o⌒．⌒o)
